For over 30 Years, Newson Gale has been manufacturing static earthing equipment for hazardous area industries.

Newson Gale was formed in 1988 by Ernest Kochmann who acquired the electrostatic control business of ‘Cenelectrex’ which was setup in 1982. Newson Gale relocated to larger premises in Colwick industrial estate in Nottingham in 1998.

The Earth-Rite® FIBC system won the Process Related Equipment award at Interphex 1998.

In 2001, Newson Gale released their first patented product – the Bond-Rite® intrinsically safe self-testing clamp. In the ten years that followed this unique product proved very popular with over 10,000 units being sold.

In the light of increased focus on overseas sales, a strategic decision to expand operations into North America led to the formation of Newson Gale Inc. in 2005.

In 2005 Newson Gale was awarded ‘The Queens Award for Enterprise’ in the International Trade category as a result of increasing overseas sales by 70% in just three years.

In 2008, the company moved to its present location of 1022 sq. mtr. in Colwick, Nottingham.

In 2011, Newson Gale was presented with the prestigious ‘Achievement in International Business’ award at the Nottingham’s Best East Midlands Awards Ceremony.

In 2011, Newson Gale expanded its operations in Europe with the formation of Newson Gale GmbH. Based in Essen it was established to provide dedicated sales and technical support to Newson Gale customers based in Germany.

In 2012, the Earth-Rite® MGV (Mobile Ground Verification) system won the Technical Innovation award at the International HazardEx Awards ceremony.

With the business continuously developing new solutions to meet the demands of its customers everyone at Newson Gale strives to provide a Total Solutions Package from initial contact right through to delivery and after sales technical support.
